The well attended and (on this occasion) open-to-all First Weightless Plenary Conference took place near Cambridge U.K. on 9th May 2012. The meeting considered developments to almost all the chapters of the Weightless specification and after careful deliberation approved all the proposed changes allowing the specification to be updated and reissued as version 0.7. Several key decisions were made, especially around the treatment of applications and the security system to be adopted. This leaves Weightless well-placed to realise its objective of delivering a final stable specification in Q1 of 2013.
